In 1976, Helma (of Helma B Aesthetics) began formally offering courses to cosmetologists interested in learning to become aestheticians. These courses were basic through advanced aesthetics. For over 25 years, people came from around the world to study including instructors and many of the leaders in the skin care industry today! These students kept asking for us to create a licensing program for their friends and relatives. Leading by Example In 2001, we created our aesthetician licensing course. To create our course, we first looked to each state's requirements for an aesthetician's license. From there we added. We took each concept and added our advanced training. Then, we organized the course so that we could add more training in the concepts that we believe aestheticians should know: chemical peels, dermabrasion, computerized lymphatic drainage, computerized electric lifting, and the list goes on! Since its creation, we continue to add more as technology creates new methodologies for skin care. Among these new concepts that we have added: ultrasound, electro-coagulation (skin tag removal, telangiectasia correction), oxygen treatments, and more. Philosophy Our philosophy is simple. We strive to offer the most complete aesthetics training. Our instruction uses the best tools available to enable highest retention: PowerPoint Projection, slides, overhead, video, live demonstration, and hands-on practice. Instruction uses both hemispheres of the student's brain, thus re-enforcing theory and practice. This innovative instruction enhances the student's experience. Most of our students are referred to us by customers from our family of companies. Most of our graduates are hired by contact through our family of companies. We are a private school and we exceed standards. The requirements set forth by the State of Illinois for Aesthetics schools is a minimum. We believe that the aesthetician market (consumer demands, technology of ingredients, technology of products, etc) is constantly evolving. As a school we feel compelled to offer additional training in these areas so that our students may have more exposure and therefore be more marketable to future employers. We are constantly evolving our program to serve our students in the way that we believe is in their best interests. Therefore, additional courses may be altered, added, and deleted. We are a private school and we reserve the right to expel students who we feel are not participating in the complete experience we offer. Attitude, participation, willingness to get along with students, attendance, tardiness, preparedness, test scores, are all traits that will make our students great employees. If a student does not meet our objective and subjective standards, we reserve the right to suggest another school. Our Family One sister company is PhytoCosmetics (manufacturer of Aesthe skincare and cosmetics). We stay up to date on ingredient research. Another sister company is Alo Pro (distributor of equipment and accessories), therefore, our facilities are always filled with new equipment and the latest in technological advances. Both of these sister companies give us a unique perspective- we talk to medical offices, spa chains, individual spas, salons, and independent aestheticians daily (as we have since the 70's), so we know what the market needs. Our family of companies work together to make your career choice of being an aesthetician the best decision you have ever made. Come see us and join our family.
Today, Aesthe is enjoyed by people all over the world. It is only available through licensed professionals and select aesthetic campuses throughout the world. Be sure to ask for Aesthe products wherever you go!
